Pumpkin Patch

What's the collective noun for pumpkins ?

One word comes to mind .... but I don't think I should type it here.
Eliza has a 'swear jar' and I'm already in debt to the tune of $11.20.
So you get the picture .... we have a heap of pumpkins - actually a mountain of pumpkins that our tiny inner city back garden has produced. We harvested them yesterday.

We picked 15 pumpkins altogether and they're huge.
We've given a couple away already but if anyone has some inspiring ideas for pumpkins .... let me know.
We have a s***load of them!

all this in a little garden? Seeing the weather has turned autumnal, I would be making pumpkin soup: here's my recipe

Wow you certainly have a good haul there. I have a recipe for sweet pumpkin pies somewhere I'll have to find it out.
Anyway I am Jenny from winnibriggshouse and we have been partnered in the apron swap. Have sent an email but not sure if you got it. It was just to say hello and ask if you have any real hates, ie as far as colour design etc. Do drop by or send an email (on my profile page). Hope to speak to you soon.

Oh what a lovely ....load of pumpkins. There they are all standing in a...... heap! lol.
I've just found three pumpkin shoots in my backyard, so I'd love to think I'm going to get that sort of harvest, but I think it's the wrong time of year for them. But you never know. It is Qld after all! :)
I've got a pumpkin ice cream recipe if you're interested! Always meant to make it but have never actually gotten around to it.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
So loving your header with all those lovely vintage cotton reels.

Wow that is a lot of pumpkin! I guess you can make pumpkin bread and pumpkin muffins, and you can freeze pumpkin puree and use it for scones, cakes etc later in the year.

Thanks for all your wonderful suggestions ladies! I've also found recipes for pumpkin gnocchi, pumpkin and sage raviloi, good ol'pumpkin fruitcake, pumpkin scones, pumpkin pie and don't forget roast pumpkin. I'd better get cooking.

Oh my goodness, that is quite unbelievable. How about some pumpkin gnocchi?

I do an Asian style pumpkin soup that is really good. I make up a basic pumpkin soup and then add a tin of coconut milk, some fresh lemongrass and coriander. It's divine.

Hope you are enjoying your massive harvest.
